Amon Amarth es una banda de death metal con temática vikinga que procede de la ciudad de Tumba, en Suecia. Fue formada en 1992 y su nombre significa "Monte del Destino" en Sindarin (una de las lenguas de la Tierra Media creada por J. R. R. Tolkien).

Inicialmente el nombre de la banda era Scum, pero en 1992 pasó a ser Amon Amarth. Grabaron dos maquetas, Thor Arise, en 1993, y The Arrival of Fimbul Winter, en 1994; auto-editaron mil unidades de la segunda, que consiguieron vender en menos de doce horas. Con la salida de su álbum Once Sent from the Golden Hall en 1998, su popularidad creció a nivel internacional y desde entonces han dado varias giras, han publicado dos videoclips y aparecido en alrededor de cien revistas especializadas.

Los cinco miembros del grupo son conocidos porque sus canciones están basadas en la mitología nórdica, con letras muy fieles a lo tratado en la misma.

Demons and Wizards es el nombre de la banda de power metal, que proyectan juntos los líderes de Iced Earth y de Blind Guardian, Jon Schaffer y Hansi Kürsch. Schaffer compone la música y Kürsch escribe las letras.

Dentro del grupo, Jon Schaffer representa el demonio y Hansi Kûrsch el mago. La esposa de Jon Schaffer siempre se ha referido a él y a Hansi como "Demons and Angels", pero Hansi siempre la corregía que es más correcto "Demons and Wizards", en referencia a un álbum de Uriah Heep con el mismo nombre.

No es un grupo muy activo, debido a los compromisos de los componentes con sus respectivas bandas.

Led Zeppelin es una banda de Rock del Reino Unido considerada una de las más importantes de ese género y una de las más populares durante la década de los setenta. Fue fundada en 1968 por el guitarrista Jimmy Page, quien había pertenecido a The Yardbirds, al incluir en su formación a John Paul Jones como bajista y teclista (al que Page conocía de trabajos anteriores con The Yardbirds), al vocalista Robert Plant y a John Bonham a la batería (que coincidió con Plant en The Band of Joy). Led Zeppelin presentó elementos de un amplio espectro de influencias, como el blues, rock and roll, el soul, la música celta, la música india, la árabe, el folk, el country e incluso el reggae. Aparte de esta marcada versatilidad en cuanto a influencias musicales se refiere, Led Zeppelin demostró en su repertorio una musicalidad tal, que bien puede representar el valor de la dinámica musical en el género de la música clásica, que corresponde con formas y composiciones muy estructuradas, y que dejan en evidencia la capacidad de adaptar conceptos compositivos como el contrapunto, característico en la música desde el periodo barroco.

Más de veinticinco años después de la disgregación de la banda en 1980, la música de Led Zeppelin continúa vendiéndose, disfruta de una amplia difusión radiofónica, y ha demostrado ser una de las bandas más influyentes en la música rock. Hasta la fecha, ha vendido más de 300 millones de álbumes en el mundo,[2] incluidos 109 millones sólo en los Estados Unidos,[2] y es la banda con más discos de diamante (otorgados cada 10 millones de ventas) de la historia de la música, junto a The Beatles. Los discos con esta certificación son: Box Set (10 millones), Led Zeppelin II (12 millones), Led Zeppelin IV (22 millones), Houses of the Holy (11 millones) y Physical Graffiti (15 millones).

Emperor es una banda de Black metal noruego fundada en 1991, disuelta en 2001 y reformada en 2005. Actualmente formada por Samoth, Ihsahn y Trym. Si bien Emperor no puede ser considerado dentro del Black Sinfónico o Melódico, es uno de los impulsadores de dichos subgéneros.
