Illnath se formó en 1997 bajo el nombre de "Flagellation" y después de la superación de algunos problemas con el line-up la banda decidió cambiarse el nomrbre por el actual, "Illnath".

Illnath es un monstruo en uno de los jegos de papel de Tobias. Usamos Flagellation a falta de uno bueno.
